An entire population exists out there who have never read the plays. And they seem to get along just fine. Another fragment have read or seen a few. Some may have even seen one of the great film adaptations like “Ten Things I Hate About You”. Others, god bless them, have read the entire canon, sonnets and all inside and out. For each of these segments of the population, we offer our work.

In this, the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare’s passing, we are thrilled to be going on this journey. For those who don’t yet know the plays, this is a wonderful first glimpse into his work. For those of you who already love him, tonight is an intimate sharing of our mutual adoration. Why are these plays being commemorated at the 400 year mark all around the globe? Perhaps it is because Shakespeare’s work transports us to a fantastical, yet believable universe of heightened circumstance and exceptional story telling. Or perhaps it’s because of all the dirty jokes.

Either way, our all-female Fringe production is our small way of giving love to the Bard. And to honor his wish that, “so long as man can breathe or eyes can see, so long lives this,” we give you “The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged)”.
